Karambit grips

Hi, just out of curiosity can the karambit be held comfortably in a sabre/hammer grip?

Probably depends on the person, hands and his idea of comfort, but I could comfortably hold mine like that.

I know I can hold that "Brute" like that!

I never let myself be limited to "way that a knife should be held." Like the Karambit...I don't just insert in the ring with my index and that is that. I'll experiment with all kinds of grips. "just in case", and who knows? The knife for ME might work better in a grip that it wasn't even intended to be held in! LOL!

At first I was reluctant to buy it for the fear of limited grips (I too don't like to limit myself with one grip) , I would go to a outdoors/survival shop to check it out personally but the knives shops here carry are somewhat limited so I have to rely mostly on knife reviews and and questions i sometimes post. thanks again.

I recently held one at a shop here in hawaii, and man...if you are referring to the Spyderco Karambit, it is as I said, a "brute"! LOL!
There are a lot of ways i could hold that one!!! I am glad that you also, do NOT limit yourself to certain grips!!!
