Karambit in California ?

I just recieved a Emerson La Griffe, its an awesome little knife. The thing is I live in California and I would have to have it visible. Would a karambit be a better choice for a Californian? I can keep this one clipped in my pocket without any worries correct?

Why don't you just get a sheath for belt carry? Do a search on the web and you will find someone who makes them. I don't remember the info, but perhaps someone here will. Good luck!
