Karambit or Visayan Lugud as we in the Visayas call it is the most versatile knife there is, in the hand of an expext this karambit is lethal even in the hand of a punks. As I've experience ringed karambit is deficult to disludges.As the saying in Filipino, " nothing is more than lethal than my balisong (knife) .

Karambit on our part of the Philippines are being use as skining knife and the bigger version is use in cutting open the coconut.
