Alright I need a folding Karambit.

I am looking for something around 100, Made of good steel, and well made.

I have looked at the Spyderco Karambit, and the Emerson Combat Karambit. The Emerson caught my eye but the price tag was kind of big. Looked at the Spyderco it was in my price range but did not have to hook the Emerson had to catch onto a pocket and snap the blade open.

Can anyone recommend a good folding karambit

Thanks

I don't know how good they are, but I've seen Mantis Knives Kerambits at reasonable prices... No wave, though.

For the Spyderco you can just do a "zip-tie" wave, where you put a zip-tie in the Spyderhole to catch onto your pocket and open.

I got my emerson kbit off of ebay for 100 used. I couldn't be more pleased. The wave system rocks and with practice u can catch the hook on ur pocket and open it in a snap. It opens so fast my friends sister thought i had an auto.

Its very light and solid. Since im a big guy i have chubby fingers and the ring is perfect. Its also very easy to clean since and reassemble.

I have an Emerson and I love it.
I'm not a huge guy, 5'11" with medium sized hands, and the Karambit is a devastating tool in my hands.
I payed full price from Emerson, 239USD and I live in Australia so it cost me a pretty penny. Never leaves the house though I'd get so rooted by the cops because it is a weapon and nothing more.

Take a look at Mantis knives. He offers 3 different Karambit models. They are Radical in design, affordable, as well as amazingly durable.

Smith & Wesson makes one that looks well made and is CHEAP! Around $25.00
Haven't handled it, but looks pretty good. And I don't imagine a Karambit would get alot of abuse.

The Mantis is Nice for a $25.00 Folder, but the Rich Derespina Mod. 10 is a Sweet Fixed Blade for around $85.00, It will be my next buy. Hope this Helps!

I don't really get this. Could you describe further?

loop a plastic zip tie through the spyder hole and cut off the remaining plastic. the plastic lock will catch on your pants pocket like the spyderco knives or the emerson knives that feature the wave.

I just bought my first karambit, and did not want to spend $150-$200, as it was my first one and I wasn't sure if I would like the design. I bought the S&W Extreme Ops Urban Titanium Camo Folding Karambit #CK32C for around $20.00.

I was pleasantly surprised. Here are the stats:

Blade: 2.96" hawkbill 440C titanium powder coated camo blade.
Handle: Stainless steel powder coated camo w/ pocket clip.
Closed length: 5.08".
Weight: 4.8 oz.

Two of the interesting features are the torx head handle screws, and the liner lock is actually one side of the handle like the Emerson HD 7's. It feels good in hand, and for $20.00, you can't really go wrong! Give it a try.:D
