Yes I'm finally in my midlife crisis years and to go along with my fannypack and taking up skateboarding again (seriously no joke) I figure and karambit would be fitting. My only stipulation is it's got to be around the $50-60 range. What do you suggest?

Spend a little more and go with:

FOX 599 FOLDING KARAMBIT - EMERSON WAVE

Around $150. You can wave it straight outta that fanny pack

At that price range, I'd just hit up Amazon and buy what looks cool. I participate Vines where I am given stuff for free to offer my reviews on it, and I selected a large fixed blade karambit with one of the alphabet steels. Not sure what, but for the intended use it would be fine. I don't even remember what brand it was, but it's basically an off brand probably priced between 29 and 49 dollars. There are a TON of them at that price point but none I would say are investment grade.

Kudos to you for getting back on the board. I'm 43 and I don't even like thinking about taking a spill. I'm pretty fit with a pretty active job, but I still crawl in and out of my work truck bed like a toddler climbing on the kitchen counter to get to some cookies. it's not very dignified, but the thought to 215lbs traveling 9.8m/s downward for 3' onto the hard ground makes my knees hurt :D

Take a look at the FoxEdge The Claw. Fits your price range. For fixed blades, the previously mentioned Cold Steel Tiger Claw is probably the best one in that price range. Depends on what (if anything) you are going to actually do with the knife. If you're willing to think about a straight blade with a ring (gasp, clutching of pearls), you can justify your crisis as "upgrading my urban maneuverability, transitioning to non-pants-dependent personal storage system, and integrating a safety device into my sensible EDC, Your Honor."
Seems like $100-150 is the barrier to entry for fun fixed blade ringed knives, curved or otherwise. Spend some time browsing on Karambit.com to see a good (but not by any means complete) range of styles, makers, and choices.
Tops Devil Claw
Tops CUT
Boker Accomplice
Combative Edge Dragon Tail

At that price range ---
You won't be able to surpass the tacticool spectrum, pick up a Kershaw instead

Go to eBay and use the search term Filipino karambit. Lots of knives in your price range.

If it's just the shape of the blade you like, you can get a Syderco Byrd Hawkbill for round $40.
Put a HD zip-tie around the top of the Spydie/Byrd hole, and it becomes wave-able. Like this:
