Just started collecting custom folding karambits. They offer a better grip, because of a index finger injury. Started my collection with a Rick Hinderer/Liong Mah, and now have puchased a John Kubasek Karambit. It will be here in a week. Any insights into the Kubasek?

I blieve this is the same Kubasek I held recently ? if so, I was not impressed. John Kubasek is an awesom knife maker definately ! His knives are super smooth and lock up is tight and overall fit and finish are fantastic. However, the fingr ring was too far back and in line with the handle wich made it kind of uncomfortable in my opinion. It is well made as I said as all his knives are, but there is a curviture or rather a "geometry" to the handle of a karambit that sometimes people just don't get. Good luck with it though. It may fit your hand better than mine. RDT :D

Thanks for your review, guess I'll just have to wait for it to arrive, and hope for the best! It sure is hard buying a knife unseen. The Wolverine knife show in Novi Michigan, is the only custom knife show I know around here, so most of my choices have to be from the internet. Thanks again RDT
