You think this old Cherokee Shaman can't improve on a set of these little tools -- not so little since they are the HI super karda and chakma but certainly improved.

What great work!

Keep in mind the guy who can do great work can recognize great work. Dan K and Yvsa can make great stuff and know great stuff when they see it. That is why they were at the convention and why they love HI.

THEY KNOW.

I think I know but they DO know and when they say I am right I know I am right. Does that make sense?

Many thanks for the help Yvsa and Dan and all. Much appreciated!

Uncle Bill,
Well, I'll comment - those are nothing short of beautiful! Fileworked spine and satin finish on a karda and chakma - who would have thought it? (Yvsa, that's who!) Why don't you try a scan of those with a light blue background - then send the scan to BirGorkha as an inspiration to the kamis!

Thank You Bro!!!!
Without you and HI none of this would be possible.
You and the HI Khukuri's have brought together the very best of knives And people!
I am very proud to be just a small part of things.

The top one, sharpened chakma, I made from scratch out of 1 side of an old set of pruneing shears. It's hard enough to really work the edge over when needed. The bottom one, a Cold Steel Red River worked over, I was tired and messed up on the file work and it looks like the amature job it is. I learned many years ago that time and patience can take the place of skill and some knowledge which means I shouldn't attempt this kind of work when tired.

Looks like I may be making some more of these for the plain blades, but it's not a high priority as I have plenty of kardas and chakmas.

These pictures do not show the beautiful turquoise and coral inlays in the buts of Yvsa's handles.

They are very nice tools.
