The two in Birch (on the right) are headed to The Sandbox...(from this thread)....heads up, Bill Sanders.

Beautiful work Dan. You are the sheyatt for sure. I wish my kardas looked like that. And I bet those are properly hardened and will hold an edge and everything.

Beautiful, and inspiring!

What is the green handle material? It looks as if it has some sort of leaf pattern in it...

Tom

it's a form of micarta actually.....got it from a knifemaker buddy. I'm "branching out"....

I think the green one is cool too.

Andy

thanks, guys. The green one was very hard to let go out of the shop....

I can definitely see why it would be hard to let go. Very cool looking. Although they're all quite stunning. Great work Dan.

The green one IS cool. Looks like fossilized leaves or ferns in the handle.

I'll be very interested in hearing Bill's reaction to the birch-handled ones.

Got the beauties! They are a close match to the color of the uniforms. And sharp too! Gave on to a fellow soldier, and have been carrying the other on my belt. He used 550 paracord to attach his to his body armor. They will get used, and probably abused some too. Thanks again for your support.

Bill

They look like they can stand the use, Bill. And I don't think any of us are surprised that they're sharp.

Let us know if they collect any "stories".

Be safe, and thanks for your service.

Excellent news to hear you are safe-n-sound, Bill. Glad the package arrived too.

I knew something about the color just "felt right"....;)
