Kasper Pug vs Cuda CQB

While I am not a knife-fighting expert, I could play one on TV.

I would say that the Kasper knife would closer approximate a pure fighter. The quard shapes and handle shapes are more secure.

I would say that the CQB would be a better concealment piece.

Of course, since there are no production Kaspers out there, the CQB would be far easier to get a hold of.

Hope that helps.....

I would say MDP is correct. Bob Kasper designed the Pug as a fighter. I don't believe he had any secondary uses in mind.

You would be amazed at how well the Pug can be concealed.

I can't speak on the CUDA CQB, except for what I have read. I believe it was meant for a more utilitarian role.

Well, I'd go with the Kasper Pug myself, the guard and finger groove definitely make for better weapon retention. Along with that is the fact it's a double hollow ground , which makes for more edge to hit the opponent with. I have to disagree with the CQB being meant for a more utilitarian role, though. CQB == Close Quarters Battle, which would seem to indicate that the designer (Terzuola, I think?) meant it as a fighter

The overall shape/ configuration of the Terz appears better for an offensive role such as sentry removal. Have you had your daily dose of sentry removal today?

Al P.s Kasper designed blades are pure fighters. Defensive role.

Thanks for the site Flood. Upon looking at it I think that the Bulldog would be better than the Pug because of the extra inch of reach. .25 oz. wont slow you down too much and the extra reach is a big benefit. they are the same price too.
