Katana build - 1000 thousand layers!

Hi all, thought Id share my latest project which I am currently working on

This Katana has a bit of a theme planned for it...

A client wanted a Katana with Damascus, and with a bit of a story behind it:
"Fushimi Castle and the battle of 1600" - the blood stained floor boards.

So all I can say is there will be lots of red...

The blade is hardened, ground and ready for a basic polish, the habaki is the next undertaking...one of my favourite steps
