Hi All,

My first post so be gentle. I'm not sure I'm in the right area for this question.

I have this Katana Blade I wish to build a handle for. Would like it to be close to traditional, but don't know a thing about wrapping.

Also the tang has been ground diamond shaped similar to a double edged blade all the way up to where the tsuba would be. The Tsuba slot would have to be cut to fit this shape. I can handle that, but not sure why the tang was shaped that way in the first place. I could do it like the usual stick tang and bury it in a piece of
hardwood, but like I said I want it fairly traditional. Any idea? Or suggestions on the proper forum?
