hello fellow enthusiasts,
I in my younger days as a boy purchased a Sword from Overseas.....I Don't remember anything about it and was simply a young man into karate and Kil bill. I've since become a big knife enthusiast and wondered if anyone could identify what this thing is!?? i remember it had a "full tang" and was advertised as "carbon Steel". keep in mind this was 13-16 years ago and the industry was very different.
other curiosities:
-are there any simple tests to start to identify the steel? its definitely not stainless....ive had to wipe rust off it every 6months and re wipe it with 3 in 1 oil.
-im a knife guy and not a sword man. could i send this out for HT? and if so could they elude to the type? and what hardness would i want? short of getting a clay tempering done....?
-i slightly remember it being a sort of "custom" website. but who knows...... if i took the tang out would there likely be some kind of signature?
thank you everyone for your time and all the best.
