How has time treated the four Kathathu set as a collectors item?
 
I have all four of the Kathathu series NIB and am also wondering what they might be worth.
 
You have the only other complete set I have heard of, obviously can't be more than fifty. I have seen the large go for $760 on ebay. I have offered them to my brother-in-law, to keep them in the family for $1900, which is just above cost. Because of the large cost for the set they might be worth more individually but I would hate to break the set.

I am curious if a four knife set has ever been sold. I can find no information on the web.
 
I've never seen where a complete set has been sold. Once in awhile I've seen a pair of them go on eBay but haven't seen anything lately.
