I bought a very nice custom knife at a gun show fairly priced in my opinion $100.00 with a nice sheath. In trying to find info on the knife I found the name Bob Katilus on here, and based on the stamp assume he is the same guy who made the knife I bought. It looks like he may be retired or out of the business, and I am curious what you guys might know about his work, the steel that may be used in the knife, and an honest opinion of whether I got a good deal or not. I buy tons of knives at gun shows, almost all from custom builders. I must admit, I have a knife thing, but that is better than some addictions. Thanks for any info that you guys can provide.

Thanks for the input. It appears to me I got a really good deal on the knife. I sure love nice custom knives, and normally keep them. I doubt I will trade this one off.

Thanks for the reply. I love the knife I bought and think I got a great deal on it.

Bob Katilus still makes knives and is based out of Jamestown NY. I'll get his contact if you want as his cousin is a friend of mine
