I got a deal on what looked to be a hell of a knife and after getting it home I was correct. This is a heck of a blade, this one is a 5 1/2 inch blade with a ruberized handle. The tang is thick and strong. Any word on Katz from anyone?

I bought a fodler of theirs back when they first came out, and your right they are built like a dang tank. I found mine a little to heavy for EDC, but I could never fault their quality!

It's a shame you hever see them in stores and shows cause they make good products.

The Katz Alley Cat looks a lot like the Gutmann/Junglee Hattori Fighter. Same factory?

How does their choice of steel (XT-70, or what ever they call it) perform? IIRC they don't treat it to be that hard. Does anyone know what the composition is or is this steel known by some more common name?
