I have a white micarta handled Lion King model. It takes a very nice edge. I will admit that it is very expensive. You can find knives that are just as good for a cheaper price, but you probably won't be dissapointed with a Katz knife if you give it a chance and time using it. I lucked out and bought mine at a used price because it didn't have the box and paperwork at a gunshow, but it was a new knife. Lucky break for me.
I consider Katz knives kind of a sleeper brand. You don't hear much about them but they have been around for quite some time.
