Kayaking with the nephew and an improvised net

got out for a little kayaking yesterday wiht my nephew

Just a little jaunt for some fishing around the local canals... couple of bites but no fish

I did whip up a decent bait net from a t shirt, and a sapling

FIrst I slit a tiny hole in the inseam at the bottom of my shirt..

THan I began to slide the branch through

witht he branch through I lashed it in places, than I tied off the bottom of the shirt and cut off the excess to reduce drag

the finished product

Not bad for 5 min of work..

Thanks for the Kind words guys...
Dip bait the canals have a strict no wake policy, which keeps crafts moving very slowly untillthey reach the open water...so its pretty safe.
