Does anybody have one? If so Could you post your opinion of the knife. How is the edge? Does it retain it well? I am debating between a Kbar Bull Dozier 1275 and a Kbar Tanto combo edge KA1245. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Ka-Bar Doziers are a grate value for the money. They come with good edges from the factory and hold it for a good while, it isn't ZDP-189 but it is more than enough for EDC. They are light and strong with a very comfortable handle. Lots of different blade configerations to chose from. My only gripe is that the pocket clip is rather plain and cheap looking, though it is functional. For around $20, you can't go wrong. I would definatly chose it over any tanto, especially a combo edge tanto. Unless you cut lots of rope or pierce body armor/use tip for prying, that combo edge tanto won't be very efficient. I like the simple blade shapes because they are easiest to sharpen and they are more function than flash. YMMV.
BTW: if edge retention is really important to you, check out the Dozier Thorn, it is the same design as the others, but with aluminum handles and a D2 blade, it costs a little more though.

My wife & Son are real active in Boy Scouts and camp frequently throughout the year
They have a choice of a bunch of knives that I could outfit them with & they always go back to the Kabar Dozier's
For the pricetag,IMO,one of the best in size & for just great all around utility use

I have a KaBar Large Dozier and think it is fully worth the price. Very comfortable in the hand. Good solid lockup. The AUS8 takes a nice edge and holds it pretty well. VG10 it is not, but neither is the price.

I have handled the regular Doziers for a couple of days prior to giving them as gifts and they seemed pretty good too. They felt solid and locked up well. Same alloy for the blade.

I have the KA-BAR 02-4059 D2 folding hunter. Small and light don't feel it in my pocket. D2 is holding its edge just great. Mostly use it to cut plastic box strap and cardboard. Wish it had a pocket clip. Fit and finish is near perfect. The liner lock was a bit tight at first but after opening and closeing it (nervous habit in traffic) it has worn in to perfection.
