Hey Guys…

In the never ending search for decent sandals, my journey has come to a close.I hunt around for good footwear No More!

In the last 3 months I have literally been through three pairs of cheap as$ed sandals..Never again….

On a recent trip to REI,, I stumbled across Keenfootwear and their closed toe sandals

www.keenfootwear.com

After trying on several different pairs of sandals,, none of which I liked all in the $50-60 range, the clerk at REI talked me into trying on a pair of Keens…

Holy cow where these sandals comfortable.. Absolutely the most comfortable sandal or shoe, for that matter I’ve had on…

Ringing the till at $100.00 Bones,, they aren’t cheap, but I’ll tell you one thing,, if they got lost I’d buy another pair in a heartbeat.

For $30-40 more than just OK sandals,, these are well worth the money for the upgrade in sandal and price point.

The ones I got were the Newport model…
Waterproof leather, Excellent construction and fit..

As one friend put it “Yes, I’ve seen those,,,Very popular with Gay men!”LOL

I don’t care,,these things rock,,and I’ll buy another pair before summer is out..

Cool, thanks for the info and link. I wear sandals all spring and summer long, and these look great. I like the Newports, Portlands and the Taos.

Would anyone be surprised if I chimed in? Keen sandals are unbelievably comfortable and utilitarian. Simply the best I've ever worn...in fact the clogs and shoes too. I own 7 pairs of Keens, at least.

Welcome to the Keen club! :)

I have 5 pair....

2 pair of H2's...1 black, 1 green

2 pair of Bronx mesh shoes....1 low in steel, 1 mid in black

1 pair of Antiguas in black.

I bought my wife her first pair of brown leather Antiguas. She loves them.

Three pairs so far, H2's in black, Newports in steel, and the low Bronk in black leather. Next will be a pair of mesh Bronx, also in black.

Hey Guys...

WoW....
I bow to the Keen Gurus!

Geez and I thought I had a breakthrough in something new...

As everyone has said,, they are incredible shoes/sandals...

I wear sandals 365 days a year, as I'm back and forth, and in and out of the shop all day long, I need something I can just slip on..
I work in them so right away a closed toe was Very appealing to me for somewhat of protection...

These fit the bill,, are Exactly what I needed and you'll have to pry them from my cold dead feet...

Thanks guys.. At least I'm not the only one crazy enough to spend $100 on sandals... They are worth every penny...

They also accept orthotics, which is uncommon, and very nice. The bed lifts out to accomodate a molded footbed style of orthotic. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be available in a 15, or even a 14 for that matter, despite a couple false leads.

you got some big feets :)

I tried on a pair... Comfortable... but for less than 20 bucks a pair of reef flip flops does the trick!

May have to look at them again...

Hot rod...

Yaa at say $20 buck a crack,, I've used $60 worth of sandals already this year....
Cheap as$ed sandals for me no more...That's 2/3 the price I paid for my Keen's

I would have no problem going nearly anywhere and doing nearly anything in the shoes/sandals...

I'll have these for 4-5 years if I don't loose them. At 4 years thats $25.00 per year...I've spent almost 3 times that much already...

It's just like anything.. You get what you pay for...

I have 1 pair. They're excellent! Not too pretty. For me, that's a good match.

I'll buy more Keens. They are the most comfortable sandals/shoes I have worn. The H2 have replaced my Chacos as my choice.

Eric,

Try ordering your Keens from www.Zappos.com. It beats going to the store to try them on. IF I am unsure about a size I order 2 pair, one a 1/2 size bigger than what I usually wear and one my regular size. Sometimes the sandals fit differently than the shoes. Free return shipping makes this very convenient for me.

I'm either a 12 or 13 depending on the shoe. For any big footed keen wearers, do these shoes tend to run large or small? I'm really liking the look of the bronx shoe.

If I could get it in my size and the color I want it would be even better. :D

I'm in the same boat, very wide foot. In the Bronx a 13 is a good fit, couldn't fit in a 12. My Newports are a little loose in a 13, the H2's are just right in the same size.

Hi All-

The KEEN TAOS model shown below looks pretty good. Essentially a very well-ventilated low hiker / cross-trainer. Sandals seem like footwear that would invite injury or infection if worn anyplace other than home or at the beach. I just cringe when I see men and women wearing them in urban settings where you see disgusting, germ-filled garbage tossed in the streets. I would much rather have something with a bit more protection from stuff like broken glass...but still allowing a refreshing breeze.

I would wear these with my favorite low SmartWools socks if I ever bought a pair.

Just got my first pair of keen H2s. I like them very much. Intended to get the taos but didn't have the eight and a half sizxe I needed, yeah small feet. The h2 in nine feels great. The keen chukhas I have are also in ine and fit nicely. Awesome shoes and as a blind person the toe protection makes me very happy.

I'm gonna have to check those out. I usually go with Nike sandals through the summer. I have hobbit feet, so that may be a bad idea. My dog has eaten every pair of Nike sandals that I've owned, so that may be a sign that I shouldn't wear sandals either.
