I've just run across some new Keen Kutter knives. I almost bought a couple, but I thought I'd come here and ask everyone's opinion on them.

Any info, good or bad would be appreciated.
Thanks

The New Keen Ketter knives are made by Bear & Son Cutlery, Personally I have had issues with fit and finish on one of their standard range knives, and others that I have seen up close. I think as users they are generally fair knives although I think they were destined as collector models as they usally come in a decorated collectors tin. Someone I overheard said " They look very simliar to the Rough Rider knives" I'm sure at the right price you could get a good deal, although some I have seen on sale are at far infalted prices, some sellers trying to make money off the back of the Keen Kutter name. Beware!

One that I'm considering is in a green, yellow and red box (cardboard). It's a lockback hunter the same size as a Buck 110 and comes with a leather sheath. It has "stag bone" handles. Price would be $36 delivered.

All the ones that the guy has are in the same kind of box and none come in tins.

At that price with stag handles you should go for it, at least it's USA made. Bear & Sons quality does vary but the one mini-trapper that I have is very good fit/finish and edge.
