I hope Bill checks to see this, but if not, he'll probably have his suspicions anyway. If they are leaving tomorrow as planned, it might be well to keep them as well as those left in Nepal in our thoughts, prayers, blessings, whatever. They'll certainly be mentioned by me in my conversations with the "Occupant" of the unknown.

(Once he's home, safe, and caught up is enough time to tear him a new rectal orfice about taking care of himself and taking time off every week/month so he'll be around to do business with a long time.)

In case he does check one last time before he leaves, you might want to add your wishes on this thread. Even if he doesn't read it til he's home.

May there be a gentle breeze at your back, winging you back safely. Our prayers go with you on your journey

They fixed all the MD-80 series tails. That's worth as much as several prayers

Once again I will use the words of the kamis of BirGorkha. We cannot find the words to express our gratitude for your concern.

As I have mentioned, prayers and well wishes change the vibrations of the universe which is why they work.

Many thanks and blessings from all of us here in Anamnagar and Suryabenai!

Bismi-(A)llaah! Don't worry too much - Insyaa-Allaah! Pakcik Bill will be safe home - Furthermore, since Pakcik Bill is an American then I believe he'll be either not in the target list OR the last in the target list! Sincerely, we non-American was taught not to inflict loss & damage to ourselves by avoiding any sort of conflict with American ... unless it is a sort of unavoided & unexpected out of planned situation!!!

NEPAL HO!

Before I met Uncle Bill face to face I was struck by how much he'd reminded me as having the Bill Jordan* pleasant, easygoing, friendly and personable attitude. And on meeting him face to face,he still does.

But that pleasant easygoing attitude is inside a body and face that looks a lot like Charlie Askins**.

I know why he gets hassled at customs and security VBEG. Does anyone remember Abe Vigoda, who later played Fish on "Barney Miller"? Well, before getting the role of Fish, he played a capo de regime in the movie
"The Godfather". Between the two roles, he caused everyone a lot of nervousness, especially himself. He'd get pulled over for speeding, or walk by a couple cops, and their antennae would go up. They didn't remember where they knew it from, but those cops *knew* he had something to do with organized crime.

Same with Uncle Bill. Nice guy, but he carries around the faint scent of gunsmoke, like a retired Frank Hamer***.

* "No Second Place Winner" William Jordan
** "Unrepentant Sinner" Charles Askins
*** Hamer has no published works to my recollection. His claim to fame was leading the shootout that put an end to the Barrow gang ( Bonnie and Clyde ).

The Maoists killed 16 people while I was in Nepal -- 5 of them in the same spot I was walking in 30 minutes removed. The reason they didn't get me is because of prayers and well wishes.

Americans are a prime target of Maoists. US Government employees in Nepal are quite restricted in their movements due to Maoist activity. But, if Uncle Bill can pass for a Brahmin senior at Manakamana I think he can fool the Maoists! No worry.

Scent of gunsmoke, Rusty, is from long ago and far away. I am a peaceful, nonviolent old man.

Blessings from the computer shack in Reno!
