Keep it SHARP!!!!!

What he did (with a cheap dull multi-tool!)almost defies imagination. I can't imagine how he managed to get through the bones even so. A sharp knife would have been a definite plus in this situation. At least he had a knife of some kind! Many wouldn't have even had that.
 
YEEOWAZA! Now that took some courage! Many people would probly have laid there till they died.
 
The local news around here had an interview with a friend of this guy. They are both members of a rescue group. He said that the two of them had discussed in the past what they would do if their arm were caught in something and they would die if they didn't cut it off. I'm not sure if the fact that these guys actually discussing this had anything to do with it actually happening to one of them but I do know that thinking things through before a situation arises can help a person keep their head when things get hot. I can't even imagine!
I really feel sorry for this guy but he did choose to overlook two very important outdoors rules... 1. The buddy system. Never go alone! 2. Always let someone know where you are going and when you will be back.

I got drunk and picked up a girl once who was so ugly I almost severed my own arm off (she was laying on it the next morning) just to get away without waking her up.
