...And here I am complaining about some ice...

:( Seems that a Cat 5 cyclone (Yasi) is about to make landfall on Queensland, Australia. It's around the strength of hurricane Katrina...:(
Prayers & smoke for all who couldn't evacuate in time or chose to stay, and for those whose homes are in this region....May you & yours get through this safely and may your homes survive the cyclone.

God bless... & please check in when you can.

Yes i guess a little snow's not so bad when you see it could be alot worse. Smoke sent for our brothers in the Down Under.

Thanks guys. I don't live that far up but I have family right in its path. I'm told I'll be getting deployed up there as soon as they can get some Sea Kings/Black Hawks in the air. It's meant to be pretty bad. The worst cyclone to hit the continent since European settlement.

Chris.

Here's to all the blokes down under. Stay safe:thumbup:

Cheers for the concern everyone! News reports are trickling in from the area about the damage and it appears it has not been as bad as originally anticipated (thank goodness!!!) but nonetheless, there's still a lot of damage. And thankfully no reported deaths so far.

All is good where we are. Very hot and muggy and a bit of rain about from the storm. We're a fair way from the main storm but the ocean has picked right up. The local surf heads are loving it! :)

Good to hear from you! :) Thanxx for checking in. I was concerned that you both were inside the zone, but did see that you were most likely away from it a bit...however I'm still glad to hear from you for confirmation!
Hopefully we will hear from others as things improve. I'm really not sure how many other HOG brothers & sisters live in the state of Queensland...so I am still concerned for them and dismayed at the early signs of damage. On the upside, so far reports of cyclone related deaths are extremely low to none. ...Hope they stay that way.

Prayers sent down under stay safe my friends

Hope you and your family are still safe Rob,
