As knife enthusiasts we all have collections, large or small. This is not a thread to show off your tubs and buckets of knives. Again, as enthusiasts we will always gravitate to a handful of our horde that really get our motors going. Knives that we will hold on to for the long haul, that we can't see ourselves getting rid of. This thread is dedicated to that select handful, that elite few- the keepers! So post up pics of your keepers and why they are.

Here's mine, bottom to top in the order I acquired them:

-On the bottom is the Southern Grind Bad Monkey. I got it right after they hit the market and it is just a wonderful edc. It's light, simple, waved and is largely handmade by a small group of knife enthusiasts in the USA for knife enthusiasts and it's made of good materials. It's also my largest folder.
-Next is the Sog Arcitech. Not many people would consider dropping this kind of change on a knife produced by a company notorious for churning out low quality knives of often dubious quality, but this knife is a real gem. Premium construction with premium materials. VG10 San Mai, Carbon Fiber, Ti and Abalone. The great fit and finish make this one everything I think a high end production folder should be.
-Then came the Enzo Birk. This knife was a long time grail of mine. Not particularly expensive but it took me almost 2 years just to track one down. I got it and it was everything I hoped it would be. Scandi ground D2 with gorgeous carbon fiber. Elegance.
-Now for a new arrival to me. A custom shop Protech TR3 Integrity. I love Protech autos, I just don'e carry autos all that often. My TR auto just sits in my knife drawer. This is my first manual Protech and the quality is superb. The TR3 is perfectly proportioned and shaped for comfort, big blade for the size of the package. The Ti is light and the grinds are beautiful. The blue anodized trim really sets it off. I would put this one up against any high end production folder and a lot of mid techs. It fills the void left in my collection left because of my lack of intrest in the Sebenza or Strider.
-This last one was a surprise. The Kershaw Groove Tanto. One of our wonderful forum members here included it as a bonus in a trade. I've been after one for a while but never had the funds when I saw one. It's rare for me to get excited about a Kershaw, but this one does it for me. It was a wonderful surprise and I'm now after another one for my wife- she saw it and loves it but wants one with a satin blade.

So there's my keepers. The line up may change in the future but for now I can't see myself getting rid of any of these. Now it's your turn.

Well I can't take a pic right now....but my keepers are: kershaw skyline, spyderco native, ZT-0200, benchmade mini onslaught (black blade), and my kershaw volt...which after two years of service broke haha. I'll post the story's behind these knives and a pic tomorrow!
