Keeper strap ideas for a bowie?

I've just finished a 13.5 OAL bowie that I need to make a sheath for. I did this one for a previous knife:

Any ideas on what to do differently in terms of design? Is there a better way to do the keeper strap?
 
Jason, there's over the guard on the spine side and also on the over the edge side of the guard much like you've shown here and then there's this "collared" version around the collar and the handle just above the guard. Or the old school higher up on the handle which is definitely not my personal favorite. Oh, I almost forgot My "bow tie", the removable strap shown in the second photo.
