Had a few questions for you gents. I just received a decorated small seb for Christmas and I wanted to know how to keep her nice. How do you fellas carry your woods and decorated sebs? Have you noticed significant wear from pocket carry? How well does the leather slip case work to protect the handle? Did you remove the clip first? If it were bead blast, I wouldn't care so much but since this is gift and so special to me, I want it to look new for a long time.
Thanks all and happy holidays!

Hello,

In a sense, the fact that your knife is decorated, makes it an easier carry. The decorated slab has a polished finish, which is very easy to clean up if marked, using a light metal polish. You cannot do this with a normal knife.

The reverse slab is not so much a problem if you keep the clip on for pocket carry. If you rest the knife, clip side down, it will protect the slab from most marks.

I like to have my knife immediately available for use, so I would never keep it in the slip case.

Try to keep a pocket free exclusively for your knife. Keys and coins will happily snack on the Ti slabs, and will soon have eaten them to the point of 'what the hell!! Why worry anymore'

When this happens, you just KNOW that the knife is yours for life, and an EDC.

Enjoy it...... it was made to be used, not kept in a drawer:)

Happy Christmas,

My preference is the leather slip case for work and a G2 belt sheath for evening & weekends. I remove the clip and use the CRK insert and screw to cover the cutout.

My small plain grey classic is 2+ years old with EDC and looks new, not a mark on the frame.

I also have a CGG Fly design on a small regular and that always travels in the leather case.

Regards,
FK

Ditto! Same here, I have a wood inlay, and I use the CRK slip case for work, and a G2 sheath when wearing jeans. I also, removed the clip and installed the ti insert.
