This particular knife design is the one most requested by my customers, and is built with versatility in mind. I make these with a lot of different combinations of materials; this one is 440C with york gum burl. OAL is about 8.5 inches.

Looks awesome, man. Nice n clean!!!

...York gum taste anything like Black Jack or Beemans? ; )

York gum tastes like any other wood when you lick it, but it finishes out better than most. It's nice and dense, and right up there with Red Mallee, Desert Ironwood, and African Blackwood on my favorites list.

How 'bout some man-mades too?

I made these blades at the same time, but finished them out a few months apart. Thanks for the kind words.

Very nice Travis. I especially like the shape of the front of the handle scales.

Nice lookin knives Travis, especially with York Gum Burl. Very tasty ! Red Mallee + :) . Would look awesome with some Ringed Gidgee mate!
Cheers Keith

My favorite wood (at least that no one else uses) is curly oak stained with aqua fortis. It is hard as the ironwood/rosewood family, but has a ton of figure in it.

the knife looks nice and clean. I have to get past this obsession I have, that when I make a knife I have to put metal bolsters on it. It is a sickness.

honestly, very clean work.
