I've had the great good fortune of working with Dan Keffeler on a project lately, and as a result we've had some good lengthy talks on the phone.

I have grown to become quite fond of Dan, so when I miss him, I watch his Youtube channel. :)

He's working on a crazy project at the moment, which will likely be updated in the very near future with some kind of surprise! I'd recommend subscribing to his channel and watching his videos, as he is very descriptive and there are some real pearls of wisdom to be had. Plus, his knives are about as badass and performance oriented as any out there.

While you're at it, check THIS out!

All I can add is that I really respect Dan a lot. I like talking to him and I love getting looks at his work.

I love Dan's work. I've been enjoying his vids and look forward to seeing his progress on your project, Lorien.

Sweet stuff.

I am pretty close to him (about an hour+) to his home town.

I am going to be over there in a few weeks with 12 hours to kill.

I should hit him up for a visit.

The first time you see him cut down a 6 inch tree in two hits with the super assassin the performance of his knives and swords really astounds you.

I think last time we talked I was living in Ellensburge. I currently live in Portland OR til I am done with school. I will them move back to Ellensburg.
If you are heading south Let me know

This is one badass looking piece, and I really like the change to the handle. It now has a way more barbaric look to it, perfect for pillaging!

Shoot. I am going to be over there this spring bored for 13 hours!

Maybe I'll bring my canoe, then.

The Pillager is turning out SWEET.

I love the handle, the "rustic" look works excellently with this design.

'carnal rustic' :)

Dan thats a sweet blade man! thanks for posting the video!

That would make on hell of a weapon, and looks like it does better as a woods tool than most of the dedicated wood tools on the market!! Great job bud!

Dan great project

But I think you could swing a piece of angle iron thru a tree with your power :)
