So its that time of the year, when i need a new chopper :D
I´ve naroed it down to either a Dan Keffeler or a Miller bros.
Both looks to be amazing, they both use awesome steel, heat treating etc.
Now to the question, has anyone in here swong something from both makers ?
Pros cons ? Anything particular to think about ?

Merry christmas from Sweden.

Both are superb choppers in my humble opinion. I have held and used both. The Miller grind is a bit thicker and does not bite quite as hard. Keep in mind that Dan has been involved with competition chopping for many years, hence his preference for knives that truly cut due to maximized geometry. Also, the angle of the handle, as well of the shape of the handle seems to allow for optimal ergonomics.

Between the two, I would go with Dan's offering. BTW, what part of Sweden are you from?

I've been in contact with MBB, I shall try to contact Dan also.
I´m from southern Sweden skåne, in a village called Osby just on the border between skåne and småland.

I'd go with a Keffeler just because of the man making it.

I can vouch for MBBs quality owning several. I also know that they are truly hand made from start to finish. Fit and finish is excellent and most importantly they do what they're made to--cut or chop depending on the model. Yes, they are ground thick, but for chopping, this can be a good thing. Also, you can reprofile the edge if you want.

Keffeler is a blade legend. Isn't he a champion competition cutter or something? His reputation is impressive and I know his heat treat is one of the best, most cutting edge one there is for 3v. Beyond that, I have no knowledge or experience with his products. I would love a Sasquatch but don't know how or where to obtain one.

So I guess that was the really long way of saying both makers are excellent and you would be proud to own blades from either one!

MBB if you want to try different steel and crazy designs.
Keffeler if you want ergonomics + great cutting efficiency+ awesome customer service backed by a Silverback.

BOTH!!! Sorry I know I'm no help. But Looks like miller Bro's closed there books for now. Better email dan before he closes his.

When you email me please put Sasquatch in the title and in the email and please introduce yourself. I get a fair amount of emails and a lot of them get filtered out by my spam filter .
Dan

Get that Sasquatch! Something a little smaller that packs a big punch the Carothers light chopper. It's like a Sasquatch light lol.
