I like beer. Kegerators dispense beer. Therefore I want one.

Thinking about a two-tap model that will hold 1/4 barrel slim kegs. Anyone have anything similar? Advice on brands, models, etc? Thanks...

Link? I must know about this dispenser. :)

I think my Buddy Rover has one ?

micromatic.
well worth the money, and they sell every piece of equipment to repair or customize them as well.
i have 2 at work to offset my draft system and to be semi portable.

I have the Draftmark system. Only three different beers available for it, but it's a neat system. You can search for it and watch the videos.

If you want to do a much cheaper garage setup, you can buy a top loading freezer either in the small square size or a 7-8 footer, drill some holes in the top and install taps and co2 system which would allow you to hold several on tap. I am planning a setup like this and using those 5 gallon mini kegs and doing some home brew. I figure I can get 10-16 taps installed and each one holds about 50-60 beers @ around $15-20 each to brew so it is way cheaper than stores and way better quality and variety. But the real kegerators are much nicer looking

Did somebody call my name?:D

I have one. Can I pull you a pint?:)

Id suggest your local Costco or something similar first. I got mine at costco and they ship too btw, but it was only $two something and not the $6-800 the local bars and billiards or bars by buds wanted for theirs:thumbup:

I will add mine also came with fridge racks which I am using it as a small fridge now. I got it at first cause I was thinking it would be cheaper. Its not. Its better but not cheaper. The problem I had with the keg was i couldnt keep track of how many I had:rolleyes: Cans are much safer for me:D:D

Ok, I found what I want for my birthday

Don't do it, Pokey or next year you'll be asking for XL Pajama Jeans. ;)

I researched them pretty hard before I decided on the one that was right for me. I ended up with a True commercial model. It is a bit louder than one of the converted dorm fridges (because of the condenser fan), but it is constructed much heavier and the refer system is very robust. We go thru a half barrel of beer (full keg or 15.5 gallons) about every 5 weeks at my place and it was worth it to me to drop the extra coin. In the long run the beer will be a far greater expense than he dispenser no matter which one you choose. We live in the golden age of craft beer right now, the selection is nearly endless and the availability is fantastic, and buying your beer by the keg will not only save you money it will allow you to try beer that is not available by the bottle or can. You can also proclaim to all of your green friends that you are doing your part to save the environment by only drinking beer from reusable containers! If you like beer, a home dispenser is in my mind the single greatest home improvement you can do.

A few buddies and myself made one in college. I wish I could remember how we did it. :p I don't remember it being that hard but then again I was playing the role of supervisor. I sat on the couch with a 24 pack, seeing if I could finish it before they finished the job. I won:D
