KEL TEC Folder?

That is interesting.

"A heavy duty lock extends the full width of the blade and can be blocked by a separate safety to protect against unwanted folding of the blade."

I'd like to see some opinions on it, also.

Oh, surely the street price must be in the $60 range.

I'll put it on my "look for" list. Could end up being another of my oddity-knives. (Then again, maybe not:).

If their knives are anything like their guns, they'll be ugly, but rugged, reliable and functional.

I'd love to have a gander at one of these, too...

Neat idea.

Ya know, looking at that photo, the lock appears to be a simple liner-lock (note the serrated tab behind the blade tang); the small silver lever below the pivot might be a LAWKS-style safety device.

Darn. I was hoping for something more interesting...

I wonder how you open it. No stud. No hole. No nail nick. The blade is sharpened on both sides. How do you grab it to open it?

That silver stud next to the blade may have something to do with opening it. I haven't handled that knife so I don't know for sure though.

the quillon

A heavy duty lock extends the full width of the blade and can be blocked by a separate safety to protect against unwanted folding of the blade.

sounds like a tab lock with LAWKS

Actually, it looks like the muzzle ring is attached to the blade, not the handle. That's right, it has a huge, round thumbstud with a hole through it. :D

Hey, if you can't decide between thumbstuds or Spydieholes, this is the knife for you!! ;)

The one with the ring is a bayonet. The knife doesn't have the ring.
True, but that big honkin' ring on the bayonet was just [i[begging[/i] for me to make fun of it! :D
