Another addition to the Halbie Hunter collection - more of a boot knife or small carry. This is 6 1'2" long, full-tang construction with a 3 1/4" blade, and handmade leather sheath. Partially fileworked blade. The bolsters are brass and the handles are ironwood.

I was looking at the CS Sisu, which was almost twice as much. I think I got the better deal on this one!

I'm not a fan of tanto folding blaldes but I love the look on a short fixed blade like this. I'm also not a fan of leather sheaths (my only two fixed blades are Kabars used for hiking), but that setup just "fits" (if u know what I mean).

Beautiful looking knife :)

You expressed my concerns, exactly. I have never bought a short tanto like this, but it really is fantastic! I can slide this in my boot or under a strap without the sheath. The sheath provided is OK for a boot and is OK under straps. But, the blade is perfect. I will get a lot of use out of this one!
