I never got a chance to put this puukko to use this, and with so many other knives I'm waiting to put to use I don't think I'll get around to it. Too bad because I love puukkos, though I prefer them smaller than this. I modified the handle on this guy to fit my hand better. Basically I put slight indentation grooves on either side of the index finger groove because the transition there was a bit sharp and abrupt out of the box, and I deepened the groove in the back where the pinky wraps. Also sanded away the factory finish on the handle and re-stained it to bring out more grain, and put a high gloss on it to maximize the 3-D effect of the grain's chatoyance.
3-5/8" carbon steel blade, mirror polished. 8-18" overal. Handle wood is curly Birch.
