These have been on my mind for awhile, but with no stores where I could see one in person first it's took me awhile to take the plunge and order one sight unseen, since they ain't the cheapest scandi's out there!

Glad I did though, it's one sweet knife, just about the sharpest factory edge I've seen for sometime!!!

Still have to look twice at that traditional sheath, with the curl on the end, looks like someone stole an Elf's cowboy boot! :)

Bear Claw,

I actually just received an Aito Puukko from Kellam today. As you said they are not the cheapest scandi's but I am nothing but impressed. They are nice and sharp and since I've spent about 3 or more hours of the day in carving (or what passes for carving with my minute skill level) it has kept a good edge. Wonderful knives, truly can't speak well enough of it. Love the look of your burlwood handle.

God bless,
Adam

That's a really nice knife.

I was thinking of buying one of those a couple years ago but went for the Kellam Wolverine instead, very sharp out of the box as well. The first thing I cut with it was my own thumb. I guess that's what happens when you name a knife after a big ferocious weasel. (or when you play with knives while watching tv...:o)
At least it was a clean cut.

Thanks for the close up pic - far better than the stock pics they have online. They look nice but I like pointier tips so this one is disqualified for me.

It seems their production quality is consistent. I've never heard of anyone getting a 'bad' one, and my new Tracker gives me the same impression as your Fang. Very well made, and sharp.

I had one for a while. It is quite the beautiful knife. Just be careful to oil it up, mine rusted up on me.
