HI, Does anyone here own and use any of these? What are your impressions? Fit & finish, edge retention, comfort etc. I did a search but not much here. Thanks.

Marcelo, I know you postd this awhile back, but I'll put in my 2 cents. I own and use the Tracker. I bought it mainly for those trips that I didn't really need to pack my Wetterlings axe. I have used this knife for everything from chopping poles and tent stakes for shelter, to carving a vension roast for dinner. Fit and finnish are exellent. Out of the box I could have shaved my face with it. Holds an edge very well, although I should tell you that I convexed the edge a little with my home made mouse bade sharpening block for duribillity sake. I normally carry a smaller knife for my belt knife but have been carrying the Tracker lately. I highly recomend any of the Kellam "Wolf Pack" models. Hope that helped :)

BTW: There is a great article in the DEC issue to TK magazine. Check it out!

I have eyed those models as I have parused the 'Net looking at knives. They look neat to me, and I like the names, since I like wolves.

Marcello, check out this month's issue of Tactical Knives, I just read a review of that series in it last night. The author gave it favorable reviews for the most part, but I think he said the edge did chip fairly easily.

Lagarto

Marcelo, Lagarto is right. I found that the blade did chip (very slightly) when I put it to some hard use, so I put about a 20 degree convexed bevel on the blade and I haven't had a problem with is since. I used it to field dress a deer this year (left my Bark River Woodland @ home on accident) and had no problems @ all. The knife has a traditional 0 bevel "scandi" grind that is exelent for woodcarving, but lacks in the toughness area. A small edge bevel will fix this.
