Just showing how the kellam wolverines sheath almost caused me to loose it after only having it for only two days, not sure what im gonna do now with it hopefully i can find something to replace the strap so i can carry it. i would have happily spent a few more dollars to have a functioning sheath..

Sammi style danglers are traditional to the knife. Tie it back into the sheath and be careful not to cut it when you draw the knife.

should i try to find an upgrade in leather, i definitely didnt cut the strap that came with it..it broke while walking trails under no pressure i dont think i could trust the same strap again because of how easily it broke..

You could do a pretty easy fix by adding a belt look like the one I did on this sheath. A piece an old belt would work, just fold a strip and sew it to the back of the sheath at the top.

Sheath is fine, just the attachment loop came undone. Re-do the attachment loop with something stronger or add your own flat belt loop.

I took a plastic Mora sheath and cut off the button loop part and just riveted on a nylon belt loop. I have a vintage leather Mora sheath that I need to do the same with allbeit with a leather loop.

I wouldn't tie it back on, that was the problem to start with. JUst thread the leather through the holes again, and this time sew the overlapping ends with some good waxed linen or nylon thread. It's never come off again.

Follow jackknife's advice & you'll be good to go.

Barring that you can always run paracord through the whole and tie it off. It will ruin the traditional look though.
