Knife
The Kellam Wolverine is a blade made for Kellam by Ahti. It is a spectacular blade and is of great build quality. It is, like most puukkos, a full hidden tang blade, with the back of the tang peened over for strength. The handle is a fine piece of curly birch that has been dyed brown. The bolster is brass, and between the bolster is a spacer of what seems to be leather. The scale is still present on the upper section before the grind. Engraved in this scale, there is a image of a reindeer (caribou), the Kellam logo, and SPT (TM). SPT stands for Scientifically Precision Tempered, which is actually just very exact progression tempering. The edge is 62 on the Rc, but in the low to mid fifties at the spine. It's a carbon steel blade, not exactly sure what, but it's good stuff. Out of the box sharpness is great. I can cut a U shape out of paper with relative ease, using only a pushing action, and it does shave hair. I am overall very pleased. (oh, and incase you didn't know, it's a scandi grind with a extremely slight secondary, about a head hair thick).
Sheath
The sheath is of fine leather that is rather soft to the touch. Tooled in the sheath is the Kellam logo and Wolverine. It is traditional Scandinavian, stitched up the back. The hanging sheath has a twisted leather loop. It has great knife retention.
Pro-
-good fit/finish
-great materials
-all important good heat treat
-sharp out of box
-great pouch sheath
Con-
-One finish (no pun intended) issue, the brass rivet is stained, but only minorly
-One bit of the upper handle has a bit of a sharpness to it, doesn't affect comfort, only aesthetic
-a bit blade thick, but not a real problem
