I know this has probably been asked a million times but could anyone give me assistance in figure out the approximate date of manufacture for this Kelly axe I acquired?

It is a double bit axe.

one side says- Kelly Axe and Tool Works Charleston WV, USA

opposite side- True Temper

There are no additional markings. I am not at a point I can upload pictures so any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Does it have ridges in the eye of the axe that run parallel with the handle to help grip the handle? If so that feature did not come out until around 1960, so you can certainly narrow it down much more than square-head suggested. Also posting photos is always a big help isn't it? There you go.........
