  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lurker here with some questions. I recently attended an estate sale and bought a box with bayonets and a machete. The machete is marked in an embossed circle Kelly Axe & Tool Co. New York USA. Marca W.C.Kelly
The blade is stamped Kelly Axe & Tool Co. Charleston W. Va., Made in U.S.A.
The blade is 25 5/8 in length the total length is 30 5/8...add 3/4 for the knob on the end. The handle is greenish horn looking plastic. The embossed circle still has the yellow color in it and the blade has vey little "patina" probably 90% shape. I can't find any info on their machetes or even see any that have been sold recently. I am sure I paid to much but I had never seen one before. Age? Value?

I saw one of these over the weekend and the OGCA meeting. It was on a table with a half dozen WWII G.I. issue machetes, there were a couple of Collins Legitimus and True Temper Latin machetes. All were priced at $125, i have no idea if that is a true measure of value or not.
