Kelly Connecticut? I've never had one in hand so correct me if I'm wrong. The other is from Germany. I was trying to come up with a good reason for my better half but all I could come up with was "they looked pretty". Damn.

Is the top one the Kelly? Is it marked Kelly, or how do you know?
I'm terrible with patterns, so I can't help, but I'll be interested to hear from those who know.

I was guessing on the Connecticut pattern. It is marked True Temper Kelly Flint Edge. The photo of the other side of the the the axe heads was a poor quality photo. When I have them in hand I will get better shots.

M3mphis, yes they were on fleabay.

What I could make out of the stamp on the German head was "FORGED" "GERMANY". Unfortunately the rest of the image was rather blurry.

My curiosity got the better of me so I pulled the trigger. Having spent time there (Germany) on occasion probably didn't help any...

Nice score. I meant to bid on that one and forgot about it. I did finally win a connecticut pattern, though. It's in the mail, I'll post it when I get it.

26 bucks shipped for two heads, nice!

Thanks for the pics and the question. Connecticut seems to be the best answer here, though, as you know/will find out, the patterns of axes are up for debate (cough, cough, bearhunter, cough, cough).

As a word of advice take the suggestions, and work with them.

Lot of good axe heads on here. Utillize them.

Nice looking pieces there overall. Nice score.

See you in a bit.

Mike

M3mphis, Im right there with ya on un-patiently waiting for packages of steel. And I was pleased with the package price of two heads shipped and everything for less than $30.

Op., Thanks for the encouragement and we'll chat upon your anticipated return.
