Got one of these finally.... very cool knife! The scales are great and the blade to handle ratio is phenomenal. Seems to be a bit of a sleeper but I can see this thing doing everything well.

I would totally be up for one in an aggressive tool steel like K390 or Cruwear. Who's with me?

The Canis has been on my short list for sometime now, I always end up buying something else. If there's a Sprint or exclusive would probably be TiCN coated from Taichung!

I always looked at the Canis as an evolution of the Yojimbo. They're so similar that I'm surprised Spyderco even did the design. Or maybe the Yojimbo's popularity is what lead to the Canis being produced.

In any case, I'd jump at a sprint run in a nice tool steel.

I had one, sold it, just ordered another one. I thought the Yojumbo was a better alternative big Wharncliffe but I was wrong. The Canis is the right size for an all purpose SD/EDC.

I doubt if we will see a sprint run of this Taichung made knife. I would suspect one in Magnacut if anything since that is the flavor of the year.

Thanks Mark for reminding me of how good the Canis is.

You welcome buddy... I know it's likely wishful thinking as its a specialized model but wouldn't it be awesome? I'm just a full convert to tool steels and its really all I want for Xmas. 😁
