I just got a beat-to-**** true temper kelly works, it looks intact and barbaric but i can't find any info on it, it just pulls up with the kelly perfect.

I'd recommend not using vinegar anymore as it removes the patina, a wire wheel is the best way to go 👍 some people prefer the set it and forget it approach of the vinegar soak, but the patina which it destroys just can't be replicated ( not exactly anyway )well its soaking in vinegar ATM so its gonna need to wait
i know about that, im just trying something different on this, i've done quite a few axes with just a wire wheel, now i only have a wire wheel on my drill so i figure i'll let the vinegar instead of fighting a drill for half an hour. And if i want the patina back, i can just boil it in vinegar, i think. i saw it, but steels are different
