Here are a three of my Kellys, a 13" Puget Sound double bit and two Kelly Perfects, a Jersey and a Dayton . I used a course wire cup on an angle grinder on them. It does a great job of removing rust, pitch and other tarnish marks on the heads.

Click the pictures for a better look. Sorry, I don't know how to post a larger size.

Before, some rust & tarnish

After brushing, it leaves the natural patina on the head.

I''ve tried a wire cup brush on a Milwaukee Drill, but the DeWalt angle grinder is much more effective.

All three still attention to their bits. Just cleaning them up now.

Thanks for looking, Tom

Nice looking trio . Those Puget falling patterns always look... well... wrong to me. They must be good at their job but it looks like a fat lady sat on them and squished them out of proportion :p.

Nice work there - after my heart with the angle grinder and wire brush..........nicely done!

I never get tired of seeing a bench covered with axes. :D

What are the two single bit styles?

The single bits are Kelly Perfects, a Jersey and a Dayton pattern. The single bit behind the Puget Sound double bit on my bench is a Collins Legitimus Connecticut. Not sure whats behind the Collins, most likely Kelly Flint edges.
