I am thinking about purchasing one of their 91/2" blades the KC-3...or something along those lines cannot remember the model number.

Will anyone familiar with their work let me know how you like them...is their heat treat good?

If I went with the larger camp size Bowie style blade (91/2"), which would come higher recommended from you folks the A2 or 5160? I am somewhat unfamiliar with both steels, especially the A2...which steel between the two will have the best combination between overall toughness and great edge holding ability?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Dude you need to talk to jason aka Gravelface...he just got a large chopper from them and is plenty happy with it!

I saw that earlier when I was hanging out over at the yard, I floated him a PM asking him about it...just waiting on his response, I'm sure that they are nothing short of awsome, just wanted some feedback.

I LOVE mine. I wish the grip was just a wee bit bigger, but I typically use it with a long lanyard that drops from the base of the grip, sweeps around the back of my hand, then loops over my thumb. It has never felt loose during use... just a bit smaller than I like. ('Course, gauge that on my loving big Busse Fusion Magnum grips.)

My Wesner chopper is amazing! I've gone through a lot of choppers and, so far, haven't been able to top this one for sheer "lightsaber-like" one swing lopping severs. I had a lot of pine (soft wood) that went down in snow storms last winter. My wife, who more or less tolerates my blade obsession but is rarely impressed, happened to see what I was doing with the Wesner. "Holy S*#t!" was her response.

Now a camp knife, this isn't. Too heavy for a long brush blade. Too long for a food prep / fine whittler. It's a pure, unadulterated chopper.

Let it do what it does best? So far, in that category, it tops goloks and khukuris that I've owned.

Yeah, I like it. ;)
