I am thinking about upgrading my pack and I have it narrowed down to these two. I like the looks of both of them alot and am not really interested in any other packs unless they look exactly like these two. Anyone have any experiences with them?

I don't have any experience with Snugpak, so I can't give you an opinion on it. The Kelty has 2 external cinch straps on each side, and it appears the Snugpak does not. Those cinch straps are really handy for snugging small/light loads close to the body for balance, and helps to prevent small loads from rattling around when on the move. They may also help to relieve stress on the zipper of the main compartment if stuffed to capacity. As an added bonus, you can always clip a flashlight, Carabiner, or something to those straps. They can also be useful for lashing a tripod or tent poles to the pack.

I have the Kelty, and it's a very useful pack. I use it when we climb 14'ers here in Colorado. It is comfortable both going up and down the mountain, due to all the adjustments available. I was surprised a little at the volume, it was a bit smaller than I was expecting. That was my fault, not the packs. It is very light and comfortable.
