Now that this bullet knife is coming together more and actually has a bullet shield, I figured it needed its own thread outside of this one.

Besides, that old thread had a bit misleading title which suggested progress pictures weren’t being shown. I should have uploaded the progress photos that Ken gave me permission to do so in a different thread from the start. But oh well… they’re in the linked thread above for reference.

So here are the pictures of the Repro R1303 I got from Ken Erickson this morning. It’s still rough around the edges but definitely has life and a certain glow.

And this knife has a twin in Green Canvas Micarta coming soon from Ken. Not sure what to call that one, though… Reproduction R130X? ;)

I find myself being more excited about this project than any other I’ve commissioned. I will post final photos of the Bone version once Ken gives it to me. I’ll also post photos of the Green Canvas Micarta version as I get them.

Hope you enjoyed the pics,
-Eric :)

Very nice, Vince. Enjoyed following along. Now I'm really confused as to what to ask him to make when my number comes up. Thanx for the pix.

Very impressive knife. I love the style. Ken is just making some super knives. Cant wait to see your green micarta version. Almost has a Winchester style look to it.

Is that Ken's hand jigged bone?
Congrats on the knife.

Yes sir. His jigging and quest for bone with that "Old Remington Feel" is exactly why I came to him with the request for the bullet knife. Being a fan of the older style Remington Bone and the fact his Remington Bone looked more and more like the real deal every time he attempted a scale, I figured this pattern would be a good representation of his work.

Ken`s knives more and more attract my attention! ;):D

Very nice lines and pretty well made!

They both look great but the jigged is a stand out:thumbup:
Cheers

Absolutely terrific knives. Ken has really outdone himself on these. They are both very nice but just gotta love that jigged bone.
Terrific job

Thanks a lot, now I am going to have to order a custom from him. :D

Not too sure how the wife will take it, but oh well.

Thanks,
John

Got these two in the mail today and I may say that I am very pleased. Not only was Ken a pleasure to deal with but these knives are great to boot, I especially like their solid lock-up.

Last pic for size reference :D :
