Nice snag. It looks like a small knife, what's the closed length?

That's a good sized knife Vince. I thought that jack was peanut-sized, you must have some big mitts for hands.

Nice score there Vince...
Is it the lighting, or do the scales almost have a deep burgundy tone to them ?

I do,and I really love those 4.5" sized baccpocket knives, they feel great in those mitts, but due to geographical locations & my demeaner,it don't work ot too well, when I bust one of those out,in the past,of course. These days my folders top out at 4"
I had one sheeple drop dead one time, lol, thought I was gonna do something,I guess...Only opening the mail, lol

Just kidding of course :D

Yes,I'd say,brownish,burgundy-ish Just pretty scales

Beautiful folder Vince. I really like the grinds on that blade, and the jigged bone is top shelf. Congrats amigo.

Awesome knife, Vince. Hearkens back to another era!

Thanks for the comments on this one, I really appreciate them.

I based the pattern (at least the frame) on a little Camillus junior stockman with a punch blade that I picked up at the Badger knife show this spring. I thought the dimensions and overall serpentine look would transfer over to a neat little single blade. The 3 3/8 length along with the rounding and slender clip make for a very slim profile when closed. When I jigged the bone I tried to keep in mind the size of the knife and scaled my jigging accordingly. I think I remember seeing a comment in old knives how the jigging was scaled down by the better makers on their small knives.

Thanks again Vince and everyone else for the comments,

Ken

"The money shot" -- I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that! For some reason I started hearing that song "I'm too sexy" by Right Said Fred when I saw that. :)

Love the knife!

Vince,

That is a real nice one you got there. My first pocketknife was serpentine jack with clip and pen blades that my grandmother gave me for Christmas one year back in the 70's. I still have it without the pen blade of course. This one reminds me of it. I really like the jigging and shield on this one.

Great job Ken! Congrats on the purchase.

Ken's work is awesome, and that is one awesome folder. I like everything about it.

Nice grab, Vince!
