Here is one that I made up on order.

3.5 closed
A2 blade and spring
milled nickel silver frame and bolsters
fluted front bolster
flat ground blade
standard nail pull
acorn shield

This is one that I used my own picked and dyed bone shooting for a bit of a vintage Remington look. caramel in color.

Any comments more than welcome.

I like it all!

Especially the job you did on the bone.

Looks like you have a 1/2 stop in there too.

Thanks for posting your knife in here.

My name is somewhere on Ken's list so I have naturally been thinking about what kind of knife I would ask him to make for me. Other than another shield, this one is exactly what I was thinking. Especially after seeing the pictures of the "old school" jigging work on his web site.

(Bastid, how on Earth did you determine that there was a half stop just from seeing those pictures? Was there something other than your years and years and years and years and years and years and years:D of experience?)

Ravishing scales!

I'd like one, or especially if it had a Wharncliffe blade.

You can tell it has a half stop because one of the pictures shows the knife half open but the spring still flush. That's a half stop.;)

Thank ya, Mr. Dog. I figured that was the picture that gave it away but was not sure what to look for.
So much to learn, so much to learn. Dang, I love this place.:D

You sure nailed that one! Great looking piece!:thumbup:

From what I can tell by the pictures it's excellent, and it seems you really nailed the bone for the look you wanted.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Its nice to be able to pick and dye my own bone, adds one more facet of a handmade knife.

That is really a fine looking piece. I especially like the color and jigging of the bone as well.

I agree with everyone else, great job on the scales. I also like the fluted bolsters. Do you put swedges on your knives?

Yes, I do grind swedges on my blades. I tend to keep the swedges to a minimum.

That is extremely nice. Really like the shield and the color of that bone is terrific.
