The mailwoman finally gave it up!! Yes, I'm the lucky guy:o!
Here's Ken's (and my) first custom snow job;). It's a beautiful knife in person, and fits and functions just right! Perfect snap and half-stop, and just-right spring tension.
Elephant ivory is such beautiful stuff, so I can see why we have to protect those big critters. I have a couple of knives with Mammoth Ivory, and the colors are nice but the feel is more like stone. Pre-ban Elephant is warmer to the touch, and seems to have a deeper "glow". And its appearance benefits from handling, apparently. Absorbing oil from your skin emphasizes the subtle pattern or grain, and deepens the luster, according to the experts. I will have to learn by carrying!!
This knife has a(n) Heraldic shield, inletted with a parser, and good blade geometry, making multiple flawless cuts in newspaper, and easily popping hair off my arm. It's ready for prime carry time!! Thanks Ken!

Once again, the scratches are on my scanner glass, and not the knife.

Very nice! I was wondering when we'd see pics of that beauty.

What are the specs?

Beautiful knife, excellent score. That'll be a joy to carry and use.

Congrats, Charlie (and Ken). Carry that beauty in good health my friend!

Looks like it has found a good home in the Great White North. Super knife. Love that ivory. Enjoy!

Ahh,was wondering who the lucky knifenut was Real Good catch there Charlie,

Kens work has been exciting to see.
These swaybacks of his have blown me away.
Congratulations Charlie and Ken.

Thanks for the enthusiastic comments everyone, and for the damning ones, Riad! I was hoping the "SNOWMAN" (or is it "SNOWRAN"?) would rise to the occassion!

I left out some specs; the spring and blade are ATS-34, and the length is 3 5/8".
Also, there was a surprise in the package. I sent a Harness Jack to Ken with deteriorated handle material, (Candy stripe cell IIRC) for destructive testing and study. He sent me back the parts;
All restored with Amber dyed stag handles!!! Ken does NOT have time for repairs and restyling; he's just too busy. This is an unexpected treat for me, and an indication of the gracious guy I am dealing with here! Thanks Ken!!

Well, there's something I knew about which you didn't, Charlie. That doesn't happen everyday around here. ;)

That is a fine job there on both knives Ken, congrats. to both ya guys.

Beautiful knife Charlie and Ken !!

Charlie, Is Pammy begining to hold back your mail ? And does this (I will have to learn by carrying!! )
mean you won't be adding pocket lint to that " other " old, used knife ? :D

Fran

I swear, "Pammy the Postie" sneaks off and fondles my knives for a few days! At least she knows how to sharpen them correctly!
Seriously, you have a point Fran, I have about twenty knives I'd like to carry, but I'd say three is critical mass! Any more, and I have to hook up my suspenders, and stay away from large bodies of water!! That would make a good thread; maybe???
Today I am carrying my Bose WT, and my Erickson Swayback. It's hard to improve on that situation!!

WAYtoGO Charlie, great knives from a great maker, The rework is awesome.
I know you don't like no shiny knives, but you better make an exception to this one.
Congrats to the both of you,
Jim
1st on the list for Ken's 300 dollar scout knife.:D

The rework on the harness jack is amazing, that is some really nice color and texture work. The swayback is simply stunning. A real masterpiece. Congratulations.
