Ok guys,

I haven't bought a custom slippie in a while. I decided to trade away my new sebbie and got a barely used Ken Erickson Medium Texas Toothpick.

HOLY MOLY!!!!!!

This thing is PERFECT! It's my first TT and I wasn't sure I liked it at first. However, being in the food business, I realized it's PERFECT for cutting food, using at the table, etc.

Now, i'm in love with it. I've got a pocket slipcase coming for it and I'm loving it.

thanks for looking,
brett

That truly is a beauty! The Texas Toothpick pattern is one of my all time favorite patterns. Ken Erickson's version of the pattern is very special indeed!

thanks DD. I'm really pleased with it. It's just so light in the hand but feels super solid.

Glad i got the chance to snag it.

That's a nice size, Brett. Five inches?? Ken's work has nice form; he's got a good eye! A toothpick has to have good curves to be pleasing to the eye. His blade grinds are nice too.

thank you! It's 4.25 OAL.

just perfect!

UPDATE:

I ordered a bark river pocket sheath that holds a folder and a small pocket fixed blade. I can carry my erickson AND switch between my new pocket fixed blades. I'm pretty excited!

thanks,

A true beauty to behold and one that will make a grand appearance everytime you pull it out of your slipcase.

Thanks for sharing,

Toothpicks flew below my radar for years and mostly because I have never liked the look of the two bolster make up of them. I had a couple though and did note how handy they were. Then I snagged that Ken Coats shawdow toothpick and found my match. That one has everything but the thing I didn't care for and it sits well with me. Since getting that one I've used it in the kitchen and even fillet fish with it regularly (Crappy) and find its nearly perfect for me. In many ways its a skinner, food prep/fruit testers knife and overall good for most other EDC jobs so its certainly got merits to own and carry a toothpick, especially one as good as those being made by either of the Ken's that sell them to us fortunate folk here..

to be honest, Steve, it was YOU that convinced me to keep mine...:)

I'm really loving this one. I think it will be a great edc for me as I work and do stuff around the house.

any tasks that can't be handled by the toothpick, will be handled by my small fixed blade.

:)

What scales is she dressed in exactly?

Thats some of my very early attempts at dying and jigging my own bone.

I think the color is medium brown oil dye.

Thanks for the kind comments on this knife!
